The primary challenge lies in navigating the unique terrain mechanics. Players must manage specialized Locomotive cards to conquer water-based Ferry routes, and brave unpredictable Tunnel routes that can force you to pay extra train cards or face a devastating turn penalty. To help counter these tougher elements, this version introduces Train Stations. By sacrificing a few victory points, a player can place a station in a rival's city to borrow one of their tracks, keeping your long-distance routes alive even if you get blocked. It is a masterclass in elegant family strategy, packing just enough extra depth to keep veteran players on their toes while remaining completely accessible to newcomers.
