The primary gameplay objective centers on challenge completion and potato passing: players take turns shaking the custom Chicken Shaker, performing ridiculous mini-challenges or silly stunts, and passing the chicken around the circle before the secret electronic or dice timer runs out and catches someone holding the bird.

The primary mechanical hurdle stems from completing physical, active prompts under high social pressure and unexpected time limits. When you take the Chicken Shaker, you reveal a challenge card or shake out an action—ranging from clucking like a hen, balancing on one foot, performing air guitar, or doing jumping jacks while reciting the alphabet. You must perform the assigned challenge fast enough to pass the shaker to your neighbor before the chicken butt reveals a "caught" trigger. If you are left holding the chicken when time expires, you earn a strike or penalty token. Designed for 2 or more players (or large groups) aged 4 and up, rounds fly by in an adrenaline-pumping 10 to 15 minutes.
